All rates exclude VAT. Turnaround periods are indicative and subject to project scope, receipt of complete information and current production capacity. RCS AD-HOC requests are allocated to the next available production slot.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Remote CAD Support is available through three service tiers, depending on how regularly you need CAD drafting support.
RCS AD-HOC is our ad-hoc service at £60.00 + VAT per hour, with no ongoing commitment.
RCS RETAINER is a short-term retainer at £50.00 + VAT per hour, based on a 1–3 month commitment and a minimum of 10 hours per month.
RCS PRO is our longer-term retainer at £40.00 + VAT per hour, based on a 6–12 month commitment and a minimum of 20 hours per month.
The retainer rates reward clients who can provide greater workload continuity and scheduling flexibility.
For RCS AD-HOC, there is no ongoing commitment. Each ad-hoc request is subject to a 2-hour minimum.
For RCS RETAINER, the minimum commitment is 10 hours per month over an agreed 1–3 month period.
For RCS PRO, the minimum commitment is 20 hours per month over an agreed 6–12 month period.
The appropriate tier will depend on the expected volume, duration and consistency of your CAD support requirements.
White labelling is available according to your RCS service tier.
RCS AD-HOC: White labelling is not available.
RCS RETAINER: White labelling is available at £100 + VAT per project.
RCS PRO: White labelling is included as part of the longer-term retainer arrangement.
White labelling allows agreed RCS drawing outputs to be prepared using the client's branding rather than CAD Precision's standard presentation.
This depends on the retainer.
Under RCS RETAINER, committed monthly hours do not roll forward. Any unused allocation expires at the end of the applicable month.
RCS PRO includes FlexiBank, allowing up to 10 unused hours to be carried into the following month. Carried hours must be used during that following month and do not accumulate indefinitely.
This provides additional flexibility for longer-term clients while allowing production capacity to remain predictable.
RCS work is scheduled according to the service tier, project requirements, information supplied and current production capacity.
RCS AD-HOC: allocated to the next available production slot.
RCS RETAINER: typical turnaround of 5–10 working days.
RCS PRO: typical turnaround - Planned scheduling typically 3–5 working days.
Published turnaround periods are indicative rather than automatic guarantees. We review each brief and confirm the anticipated scheduling position based on the work required and current availability.
For R60 requests, issuing a quotation does not itself reserve a production slot unless this is expressly confirmed.
The applicable RCS hourly rate covers CAD production undertaken within the agreed project scope.
The exact work required, expected outputs and any project-specific requirements are established from your brief and confirmed through the quotation before work proceeds.
This means you can use RCS for individual CAD drafting requirements or, through a retainer, as an ongoing remote CAD production resource.
Any work outside the agreed scope or separate specialist services will be identified and quoted accordingly.
Yes.
RCS AD-HOC is suitable where CAD support is required occasionally or where there is not yet enough predictable workload to justify an ongoing commitment.
If your requirements become more regular, RCS RETAINER provides a shorter-term route into retained CAD support, while RCS PRO is intended for clients requiring a longer-term working relationship and greater monthly capacity.
Moving onto a retainer also provides a lower hourly rate, with additional benefits available under R40PRO.
No. Swept Path Analysis (SPA) is a separate CAD Precision service and is not included within RCS hourly allocations or monthly retainer hours.
Where an RCS client requires Swept Path Analysis, the SPA work is quoted separately at the applicable SPA pricing and delivery options current at the time of order.
This separation allows RCS to remain focused on ongoing CAD production while SPA projects follow the specialist scope, quotation and delivery structure applicable to that service.
